WSB has a strong core of volunteer officers and directors that donate a lot time and effort to promote bowhunting in Washington. Through their efforts and sacrifice we have been able to maintain our hunting seasons and keep the anti-hunters at bay. Directors serve for a period of two years. There are 4 Eastside, 4 Westside, and 3 At-large director positions. Duties for the Board of Directors - Attend WDFW and Wildlife Commission meetings that deal with season setting and testify regarding bowhunting seasons in accordance with Board decisions.
- Write letters to the WDFW, Wildlife Commission or elected officials relating to WSB issues.
- Write 2 articles a year for the WSB newsletter.
- Contact regional biologists for information on herd dynamics and hunting prospects and report your information to the WSB board/membership.
- Recruit new members for WSB.
- Read and abide by the WSB bylaws and meeting conduct requirements.
- Respect the right of others to express their own opinions.
- Attend 4 annual board meetings.
- Attend and help with Banquet. (Setup, take down, auction, donations, etc.)
- Attend and help with Rendezvous.
- Help find speakers for various WSB events.
- Help man booth at Sportsman shows.
- Serve as WSB representative on various councils, advisory groups, etc.
